Welcome to Lighthouse Projects, an organization with the purpose of bringing the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ to communities in need. In this section, we present the projects we are developing in Villa Altagracia, a community that, despite its challenges, has great potential to be transformed through the message of hope and salvation.
Our main goal is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and, through it, improve the quality of life for the people of Villa Altagracia. With your support, we can build a brighter future, providing access to education, healthcare, and essential resources, all based on the Christian principles of love and solidarity.

Steve Sorrelle Christian Vocational School
The Steve Sorrelle Christian Vocational School is committed to the holistic development of the community of Villa Altagracia. This is the second vocational center we are developing; the first is located in the community of Los Alcarrizos. Our goal is to provide opportunities for education, technical training, and spiritual growth to the local residents.
Currently, we have two classrooms ready, one of them fully equipped, and a group of 13 students attending English classes every Saturday. In addition to language lessons, we have implemented a valuable mentorship program that includes teachings on manners, making wise decisions, and, most importantly, the proclamation of the Gospel of Christ, which is central to our comprehensive approach to education.
We are working hard to complete the construction of the administrative office and the expansion of the second floor, which will include new classrooms. In these spaces, we will not only continue teaching English but also offer courses in massage therapy, beauty salon, electrical skills, and French, further expanding the range of opportunities for our students to acquire skills that will help improve their quality of life.
The Steve Sorrelle Christian Vocational Center is much more than a place of learning; it is a space where values are instilled, doors to the future are opened, and the transformative message of Christ’s love is shared.

NEW CLASS
We would like to present to you the new class from September to December 2025. Half of these students have been with us since 2024 and can already communicate in English. Most importantly, they have learned good manners, how to make the right decisions guided by the Lord, about the Bible, and the love of our Heavenly Father.
With this note, we invite you to be part of the program by signing up for a monthly gift that will support the education of these children and many more to come in 2026. Once all the classrooms of the vocational school are completed, we will be able to offer the same opportunities for more children to join this mentoring and English as a Second Language program.

First Attention Clinic
We are pleased to present the First Aid Clinic in Villa Altagracia, a vital project for the health and well-being of this community. Some may wonder why, after 30 years, we have decided to start on medical projects. The answer is simple: when we begin working in a new community, we evaluate what are the most urgent needs and prioritize our work based on that assessment.
In the case of Villa Altagracia, the situation is concerning. The nearest hospital is 30 minutes away, and the community lacks a first aid center that can stabilize patients in critical situations and does not have an ambulance to transport them. This reality has led us to prioritize the construction of this clinic, as it addresses a crucial need for the local residents.
Thanks to God’s help, and the support of churches, mission teams, and organizations, we have made significant progress in developing this project. The first floor of the clinic is almost complete, and this year we received a container with all the necessary equipment for its opening, thanks to our friends at Medwish International.
We are currently working to finish the second floor, which will be dedicated to surgeries, and to acquire an ambulance to transport critically ill patients to the nearest hospital.
The First Attention Clinic in Villa Altagracia will not only save lives but also provide hope and essential medical care to those who need it most in emergencies. With faith in God and the collaboration of many, we are confident that this project will become a pillar of support for the community.

Guesthouse Villa Altagracia
A space designed to provide an immersive experience for small groups and teams who wish to contribute to the development of the community. This will be a place where visitors can live alongside local residents, learn about their culture, and be part of the transformation we are fostering.
Our Guest House will serve as the primary accommodation for the medical teams working at the First Aid Clinic, facilitating their stay while they provide essential care to those in need. It will also offer a safe and comfortable space for surgical patients who require a place to recover after their procedures.
We are committed to this project and hope to break ground in the upcoming 2025 team season, marking the beginning of the construction of this wonderful space. The Guest House will not only be a place to stay but also a home where love and Christian hospitality will be experienced every day.
With each visit, we aim to strengthen the bonds of community and service, creating an environment where everyone—both those who come to serve and those who receive care—can grow together in a transformative life experience. We eagerly anticipate this new chapter in Villa Altagracia!
