My first mission trip to the Lighthouse was an eye-opening experience. Going in, I had no idea what to expect since l'd never done anything like this before. But I was excited to learn and see how God could use me to further the kingdom. And let me tell you, God's power and love are incredible. He calls us to do things that seem impossible, but with Him, we can do so much more than we think we can.

As someone who is introverted, I was nervous about being around so many new faces. But as soon as we arrived, I knew that they were welcoming. The team at the Lighthouse are kind and make everyone feel like part of the family.

Something that stood out to me was how intentional everyone was. The team carefully plans every project to make sure it will truly be beneficial to the community. They don't try to change the way the locals do things; instead, they join in and work alongside them.

Seeing this partnership made me realize how important it is to build relationships with the people we serve.

Coming back home, I've thought a lot about what it means to have a servant's heart. We are put on this earth to do two main things: share the gospel and love others.

Galatians 5:13-14 says, "Serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Visiting the lighthouse has shown me the value of serving with love, and I'm excited to carry that lesson with me as I grow in my faith.
